Ford Focus ST launch

Amanda was one of the professional drivers and instructors on the launch of the performance hot hatch Ford model - the 'Focus ST'. The model, which has been extremely well received by the motoring press, is a powered by a ground breaking 5 cylinder 2.5 litre turbo engine, pushing out 225 PS (BHP) which will power it from 0-60 in less than 7 seconds and has a top speed of over 150MPH.

Amanda enjoyed the way the car drove: "It's very easy to drive, well balanced and the more you push it the more feedback it gives you. It's a fantastic all round car as well - it behaves and responds well both on track and on the road."

The launch was held at Bedford Autodrome, owned by former Formula One driver Jonathan Palmer. Amanda was part of a group of 4 professional female drivers and their role was to firstly instruct the delegates in a Focus Diesel (for circuit familiarisation) before they progressed onto the Focus ST and then finally take the guests around the track on a 'Hot Lap' in the ST.
