Amanda takes 3rd & looks forward to next season
Amanda Whitaker has finished 3rd in class in her first season in the European Formula 2 Series. Racing in the Formula Atlantic class, Amanda competed in both a B34 Chevron and Palliser chassis and set the pace on many of her outings taking 3 class wins, 3 fastest laps and 2 second places over the year. Her championship result comes despite the fact that she did not compete in the final two events of the season due to engine troubles. However, she looks forward to racing in the Chevron once again in 2006: “This was very much a development year and next year there will be a few changes which should allow me to race to win the championship!” she said “I’d like to once again thank Oskar Christen for giving me the opportunity to drive his cars – his support has been fantastic.".
